A welcome sight in the static park, dwarfed by the world's big aerospace companies, was the SAFAT Aviation Complex from Sudan. The company was marketing its new SAFAT 02.
E-2C Hawkeye BuNo 165824/'NG602‘ was on show in the static display at Dubai. Operated by Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron 112 (VAW-112), the aircraft is currently embarked on board the USS Stennis (CVN 74) as part of Carrier Air Wing 9 (CVW-9).
The number of French Air Force Rafales based at Al Dhafra AB with BA 104 was increased in late November from three to six, and three of the jets Rafale A 124/'W4-GC', 125/'104-GD‘ and Rafale B 314/'104-HP' were present at the show. The French Air Force uses the UAEAF facilities at Al Dhafra to train pilots prior to their deployment to Afghanistan.
An Emirates Boeing 777 leads the Al Fursan team in a fly-past to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the United Arab Emirates, on November 17, 2011 - the last day of the show.

The secretive UAEAF is never too keen to display its own aircraft in the static display, particularly something as sensitive as a airborne early warning platform. So Saab persuaded the Pakistan Air Force to bring along its Saab 2000 Erieye derivatives. It flew a demonstration flight for an unnamed potential customer on November 16, 2011.

The Orca rotary-wing unmanned air vehicle will use a specially-designed gas turbine engine. Mounted atop, the engine pumps air heated to 700°C through the rotor blades which is blown backwards from the tips.
