    One of eight ex-Swiss Air Force Dewoitine D.26s passed into civilian ownership, HB-RAA was at Brugg/Birrfeld on April 28, 1960. It is of interest since it briefly became G-BBMI in 1971, restored to its military colours as J-282 before going to the USA.

    Focke-Wulf Stieglitz HB-EBO outside one of Berne’s oldest hangars on July 3, 1964, was a Swedish-built example and came to Switzerland ex D-EBOB in September 1958. Cancelled seven years later, it appeared in Luxembourg as LX-OOI in April 1966.

    D.H. Leopard Moth HB-ALI went to Switzerland new as CH-290, taking up its HB- marks in June 1934. Seen at Biel/Bozingen - an airfield long since closed - on June 30, 1964, it was destroyed in a crash at Beromunster just over two months later.

    A rarity, the Fieseler F.5R HB-ELF was registered in Switzerland in April 1946, having survived the war as D-EUJA. Seen at Basle on May 30, 1962, unfortunately placed for photography, it was destroyed in a crash on July 27, 1968, in France.

    Twenty-eight Nord Norecrins were registered in Switzerland beginning in November 1954, but six did not take up their marks and went to Austria. HB-DAO appeared in May 1955 and was photographed at Fribourg/Ecuvillens on June 25, 1968.

    Max Datwyler at Langenthal/Blienbach built the one-off MDC Trailer glider tug in 1960 from Piper Super Cub spares and installed a 165 h.p. Franklin engine. The aircraft is seen here at Langenthal in September 1966; it is still current.

    Seen at Brugg/Birrfeld on June 16, 1984, HB-SEX is probably the only existing Erla 5A. Registered in Switzerland in October 1967, it was ex D-ENAL, but when new in the 1930s was D-YBIT. Built at Leipzig, it originally had a 50 h.p. Zundapp engine but now has a 1500 c.c. Volkswagen.

    Flown unregistered between 1936 and 1939, HB-OIX was first registered in November 1942 as the Augsburger EPR.301, the name being that of the owner. It was developed by Emile P. Roesgen, hence the designation, and originally had a 40 h.p. Salmson AD9 engine. Withdrawn from use in the 1950s, it was restored and flew again in October 1967 with a 65 h.p. Continental, redesignated Roesgen EPR.301. Seen at Brugg/Birrfeld on June 16, 1984, it is still current.
