Beech is continuing to flight test this Super King Air with JT15D turbofans replacing the PT6A turboprops; known as the Fan Jet 400, it may provide the basis for Beech to enter the biz-jet market in due course.

The first of six prototypes of the pressurized, 6-9 seat Rockwell Commander 700/ Fuji FA-300 that made its initial flight at Utsunomiya on 13 November, 1975. Powered by 340 hp Lycoming TIO-540-R2AD engines, the FA-300 is subject of collaborative design and development by the two companies, and the third and fourth airframes are now in the USA for assembly and flight tests by Rockwell International's General Aviation Division.
