This and the second Nimrod AEW Mk 3 were originally the last two aircraft off the Nimrod MR Mk 1 assembly line.

Регистрационный номер: XW626, XZ283 The first Nimrod AEW Mk 3 is seen here together with the Comet Srs 4 (XW626) that has been serving as a flight development platform for Marconi Avionics’ pulsed Doppler radar system. Together with the Nimrod MR Mk 1 (XZ283) fitted with the AEW communications, this has contributed several hundred hours flying to Nimrod AEW Mk 3 development.
