Регистрационный номер: G-AEVT [2] Aeronca G-AEVT taking off after its rebuild flown by J K Keates of the United Services Flying Club. Alas, it was written off when it crashed only a few months later at Loughborough 11.7.50.
Flight 2.2.50 * p.156 - Article on the rebuild from a delapidated state of Aeronca 100 G-AEVT by two young students; P Simpson [aged 21] and A Ord-Hume [aged 17]. They purchased it in 1947 and work was carried out in Simpson's garage at Pinner. Flight trials had now commenced at Elstree and as soon as certified, work would commence on a Luton Minor. This was covered in Flight 9.3.50, p.326, with a photo of G-AFIR in garden of A W Ord-Hume being re-conditioned and for flight in June.
F 2.2.50 p.156 - Photos show the Aeronca 100 G-AEVT with its young rebuilders and on an early test flight during 1950. Paul Simpson was the registered owner and was seriously injured when G-AEVT stalled on take-off and crashed at Loughborough 11.7.50. Arthur W J G Ord-Hume became a leading light in the British home-building movement, though he too was injured when the Luton Minor G-AFIR crashed at Oxhey, Herts on 1.5.51. Richard MacDemitria recalls working on the Luton Minor with Ord-Hume in the blister hangar at RAF Hendon in 1951.Самолёты на фотографии: Aeronca C - США - 1929

Регистрационный номер: NX30025 The pusher propeller Baumann Brigadier prototype NX30025 on an early flight. The projection underneath is a venturi tube, no doubt for driving test gyro instruments in the rear of the five seat cabin.
Flight 23.3.50 * p.383 - A statement from Baumann Aircraft Corporation saying that whilst they had sold the first prototype Brigadier to Piper Aircraft Corporation "to expedite development of a twin-engined tractor type aircraft by Piper", they had not sold the design rights or equipment. The first production Brigadier was due to fly in early summer.

These gave it a maximum speed of 170 mph, cruise was 150 mph and it stalled at 60 mph. Wing span was 41 ft, gross weight 3200 lb, ceiling 18,000 ft and range 600 miles. Empty weight was 2150 lb.
