G-AEFH c/n 2350 "Neptune" has the tailplane end-plate fin modification of the DH.86B and is seen from the tower gallery at Croydon, where it was based with Railway Air Services. Behind is Short Scylla G-ACJJ and an AW Ensign.

Bloch 220 c/n 5 F-AOHE "Aunis" was the first of the type to operate the Paris-Croydon service pre-war and was also one of those reintroduced to fly the service post-war. It is seen here in front of the Croydon control tower and terminal building early in 1938.
