Регистрационный номер: G-AHMP, G-31-1, G-AKBF, VL515, XE512 The Prestwick Pioneer prototype with original Gipsy Queen, slats and flaps deployed, and mystery registration G-AHMP.
One new poser this time, from Peter Berry, who obtained the photo of the Scottish Aviation Prestwick Pioneer prototype in its original Gipsy Queen form from D Mclntyre. It first flew as VL515 on 5.11.47 and was converted to the Alvis Leonides-powered Srs 2 as G-31-1, f/f 5.5.50, becoming G-AKBF later, all of which is well documented. But why is it wearing the registration G-AHMP which all the time was current since mid-1946 as a Proctor II? Are the marks significant (eg: High-wing MonoPlane ?) or were they actually allocated during construction, then changed in favour of the military serial ?Самолёты на фотографии: Scottish Aviation Prestwick Pioneer - Великобритания - 1947
