Регистрационный номер: N4157A The final PL-8B Paraplane Commuter 110, N4157A, a prospective two-seater but test flown as a single seater. The aircraft still appeared on the US Civil Register of 1.1.69 and was shown to have been built in 1958 and registered to the Lanier Aircraft Corporation. By then it was no longer airworthy and it was removed from the register soon afterwards.

The Vacuplane wing had two controlling hinged aerofoils, here seen fully open as for landing with the wing at a high angle of attack. For take-off only the small aerofoil was opened slightly to provide slot effect, and for cruising JM both aerofoils were closed.
