Регистрационный номер: VL515 [3], G-31-1 [3], G-AHMP [3], G-AKBF [3], XE512 [3] Now for the Prestwick Pioneer prototype "G-AHMP" illustrated last time. The photo is clearly a retouched job to help to publicise the civil potential of the aircraft. The original and otherwise identical photo of VL515 as published in Flight for December 11th 1947. In the same issue two identical three quarter rear views were shown on different pages, one as VL515 and the other as G-AHMP. Closer inspection of the registration on our original photo shows clearly irregularities in the lettering and the same is true of the other civil shot.

Регистрационный номер: G-AKBF [3], G-31-1 [3], G-AHMP [3], VL515 [3], XE512 [3] After conversion to Leonides radial as Pioneer Series 2 G-AKBF and later Pioneer C.C.1 XE512 f/f 22.6.53 for service trials. Does anyone know the dates that marks G-AKBF were actually worn? Vic Smith reminds us that Proctor II G-AHMP was regd to Scottish Avn 8.46 - 8.48, so perhaps a company artist simply looked out of his office window and picked the first registration that he saw?
