Caught through the workshop doorway at the Brazilian Air Force Museum, Sao Jose dos Campos in March 1996 is this partly restored IPT-0 Bichinho. Thought to be PP-ZPA, it seems to have reverted to IPT-0-A form with an open single-seat cockpit. No engine is fitted but the cut-outs for the cylinders are clearly visible in the view through the cowlings.

The photo shows the aircraft in 1957 with the later 40 hp Continental mounted above the cabin and lengthened nose. As a pure flying boat the wheels were only for ground handling.
