Photographic records of activities at Mildenhall during the early 1950's have proved very difficult to track down and we would be especially pleased to hear from anyone who can offer any assistance on this front. However, here is a very pleasing study of B-50D 48-0093 from the 93rd BW taken during the course of the unit's 1950 deployment to the airfield. The serial presentation '8093' on the fin was standard throughout the decade. The black 'Circle M' fin marking denotes the aircraft's assigned Air Force (15th) and Wing (93rd), while the fuselage code prefix 'A-', a marking peculiar to the 93rd BW, confirms that this is a 330th BS machine. The fin-tip colour should be red.
