Two of the four 338th SRS RB-50Fs that returned home from Mildenhall at the beginning of July 1953, seen during the final stage of their journey between Westover AFB, MA and Forbes AFB, KS. 47-0144 "Mac's Effort" (Capt James McKeown) is in the foreground with 47-0141 "Willison's Follies" (Capt Stan Willison) behind. The other two aircraft were "Hugh's Bells" (Maj Hugh Bell) and "Andy's Gang" (Capt Andy Meyer). These unofficial markings are understood to have been removed as soon as the aircraft reached Forbes.
