This appears to be an Li-2, complete with anti-winter baffles on the engines and obviously preserved in a museum. We wonder how long it will be before the small trees in the foreground grow sufficiently for photography to become impossible!

Two projects which did not seem to get as far as being put forward to the Air Ministry were the Merlin-powered Blackburn B-83 and the Percival P-70. Both were intended for anti-submarine warfare and the B.83 looks like a Gannet competitor, although Blackburn did tender its B-54 for Specification GR.17/45.
