Регистрационный номер: S1019 Fairey IIID Mk.II S1019 was one of a batch of thirty-five ordered in 1925. It was delivered to No.440 Flight aboard HMS Eagle and carried the Fleet No.'10' when this photograph was taken. Visible is the cat's-cradle of wires on the centre-section for use in hoisting-in while being operated as a seaplane. Or possibly to retrieve the aircraft when it ditched. S1019 was damaged on deck by wind on 4 March 1926 and no further use has been traced.

Регистрационный номер: J6789 Bristol F.2B J6789 was one of a large batch of 215 ordered in June 1920 to Mk.II standard. It was shipped out to the Aircraft Depot at Aboukir and, after erection, passed to No.208 Squadron in November 1923 at Ismailia. J6789 was reconditioned at the Aircraft Depot and converted to dual control, being given the 'rebuild' number JR6789. The emblem on the tail is difficult to make out. The face looks more like a teddy-bear than a human being. Perhaps someone knows the story behind it.

The Spanish Government in 1935 were looking for a replacement of the Nieuport-Delage 52 and after checking out European and American types, settled on building fifty Hawker Fury fighters. These were to be constructed by Hispano-Suiza and for standardisation, were to be powered by Hispano-Suiza 12Xbrs engines. Three examples were built at Brooklands and differed from RAF Furies in that they had Dowty cantilever under-carriage legs. All three were delivered to H-S at Guadalajara in June 1936.

Регистрационный номер: N166 The Blackburn Cubaroo was probably the largest single-engined aircraft in the world when it appeared in July 1924. It was powered by a 1,000 hp Napier Cub engine which gave it a top speed of 93 mph fully loaded. It had been designed to Specification 16/22 for a Coastal Defence Torpedo-bomber. It could carry a 21-inch torpedo for 1,800 miles. Defensive armament consisted of three gun positions, one dorsal and two more in the lower wing roots. Two Cubaroos were built, N166 and N167.

Регистрационный номер: N184 The Beardmore Inverness was built by Beardmore on Clydebank, a heavy engineering firm that must have found the design to its taste. N184 first flew on 30 November 1928 but the design stemmed from Rohrbach, which had set up a factory in Copenhagen to escape the effects of the Treaty of Versailles as to the building of large military aircraft. The Ro IV had a pair of Napier Lions and arrived at the MAEE in September 1925. The Beardmore-built Inverness was similarly powered.

Регистрационный номер: TA192 Mosquito NF.XIX TA192 appears in this small snapshot taken at Seletar. To date, we have not been able to tie this aircraft in with any squadron but it carries the code 'Q'. No.89 Squadron seems to have been the only squadron to fly NF.XIXs at Seletar so this may be a No.89 aircraft. The writing on the back says that it is Hangar 1 at East Camp and that the roof has been stolen by 'the locals'. As it was asbestos, perhaps this was not a good idea..
