Регистрационный номер: G-ALZX [2], VH-BUI [2] All three of the Butler Air Transport Ambassadors moved to Dan-Air in 1959 and regained their British registrations, as G-ALZX seen here at Blackbushe after the rain from a warm front. Not often noticed is the fact that on production Ambassadors the fixed tail bumper was changed to a wide tailwheel.

Регистрационный номер: G-AMAB G-AMAB c/n 5224 "RMA Sir Francis Bacon" parked on grass and flying two flags from the cockpit at an unidentified aviation event during the period 10.52 to 8.4.55. On the latter date it was damaged beyond repair in a forced landing at Dusseldorf, but here it appears to be attracting 'walkthrough' visitors and even has a cycle parked against the rear fuselage!

Регистрационный номер: G-AMAD G-AMAD "RMA Sir Francis Drake" c/n 5211 seen here in BEA colours, was used in route proving trials in 1951 by the airline and the manufacturers jointly. Quite why it was necessary to shuffle the registrations of the first three production aircraft in order to do this is still unclear!

Регистрационный номер: G-ALZZ [3], LN-BWF [3] G-ALZZ seen at Cambridge in 1960 painted in full Norronafly colours but wearing the registration G-ALZZ over the intended Norwegian marks LN-BWF. As with G-ALZS/LN-BWE the sale was not proceeded with and both aircraft followed the same route via Overseas Aviation and Globe Air and back to the UK again to Autair International.
