(despite the 140 h.p. engraved on the cylinder at bottom right) Clerget rotary engine, restored from two examples supplied by the Shuttleworth Collection. An NAW team in Harrogate did the work on the engine, which was brought to Old Warden for testing.

Регистрационный номер : G-BOCK [6], N6290 [6] The fixed, belt-fed, synchronised 0-303in Vickers machinegun made the Sopwith Triplane a deadly fighting machine in 1917. The one fitted to the NAW aircraft is an original.

Регистрационный номер : G-BOCK [6], N6290 [6] The magnificent skills of the NAW team are evident in this classic cockpit of wood, brass and leather, flawless except for - dare we mention it - the misspelling of “Kingston on Thames" on the maker's plate. Perhaps it was done on purpose, to emphasise just how perfect the rest of the aeroplane is.
