Регистрационный номер : N1535 Defiant I N1535 of 264 Sqn photographed in 1940. This aircraft was shot down near Mansion on August 24, 1940. The Defiant's dorsal turret produced early victories when Luftwaffe fighter pilots mistook it for the Hurricane, but its vulnerability to head-on attack (it had no fixed for ward-firing guns) soon led to it being restricted to a night-fighter role.
