Регистрационный номер : SP-ANU “Exit, exit!" Skydivers leave An-2 SP-ANU from 10,000ft. The average lift time was 38min from take-off to 10,000ft and back again. Well-versed in jump flying, the Polish crews under 27yr-old chief pilot Robert Zacharski made good, accurate passes despite the An-2's sensitive handling when cruising at 100m.p.h. At low speeds, by contrast, Zacharski reports that the aircraft is “a cow" to fly, large control inputs being needed to elicit a response. First flown in 1947, the An-2 is still in licence production at Mielec, Poland at the rate of one a month.
