Avro Lancaster MR.3 SW368 at RAF Benson after the reverse ferry flight from Malta on September 8, 1953. Built by Avro in late 1945, this aircraft served with Nos 203, 210 and 38 Sqns before being sold for scrap in May 1956.

Avro Lancaster PR.I TW652 at RAF Habbaniya before leaving for Benson on December 3, 1953. The chaps standing in front of the aircraft are, from left to right, Flt Sgt Livermore (pilot), Flt Lt Evans (navigator), Flt Sgt Manton (signals) and Sgt Holloway (engineer). TW652 was built by Armstrong Whitworth in mid-1945 and was eventually sold for scrap in November 1954.

Avro “Lincolnian" RE364 Aries II, of the Empire Navigation School at RAF Shawbury, photographed at RAF Tengah, Singapore on November 30, 1947. Earlier that year Aries II flew on a two-month tour to South Africa. In January 1948 it was destroyed in a hangar fire at Shawbury following a refuelling accident.

Halifax VII PN294 coded OG-B of 1665 HTCU Linton-on-Ouse is seen at RAF Valley on May 9, 1946. Delivered to the RAF in mid-1945, PN294 was sold for scrap in January 1949.

Avro Lancastrian VM701 of RAF Transport Command at Perth, Western Australia on January 24, 1948. Richard Livermore returned to the UK in this aircraft, flown by Flt Lt Tompkins, after ferrying a Mosquito to New Zealand. In June 1956 VM701 was sold for scrap.
