MANY S.E.5As appeared on the British civil register in the 1920s. The famous comedian Will Hay owned one - G-EBTO (Airdisco) which like G-EBTK had a four-blade airscrew. Normal power was a 200-h.p. Wolsey Viper. The smaller frontal area of the 90/120-h.p. Airdisco offset the lower power conversion at Brooklands, 1927

Avro 504K G-ABSL was acquired by Brian Field in August 1932. It was soon sold to Modern Airways Ltd and, following a period with Lancelot Rimmer, was withdrawn from use in August 1936.

Martinsyde F.4A G-ABKH was assembled by ADC Aircraft Ltd for C. Amherst Villiers and was sold to Brian Field in October 1932. It crashed at Bekesbourne on February 5, 1933 after an argument with a telegraph pole.

Avro 504N G-AEAA photographed at Kingswood Knoll in 1936. Brian Field’s dog Leo may be seen in the foreground. The 504N’s registration was cancelled in September 1938.
