Регистрационный номер : NL351DM David Marco’s newly-restored P-51D Mustang NL351DM Sizzlin Liz was making its first airshow appearance since complete overhaul. At the time of the Tico show, Marco had flown only 30hr on the aircraft after it had been totally zero-timed. Based at Jacksonville, Florida, the Mustang has been painted to represent the personal aircraft of Maj Gerald Montgomery, who flew with the 334th Fighter Squadron of the 4th Fighter Group USAAF, based at Debden from December 1944 to March 1945. Montgomery scored 17 1/2 air and ground kills with the aircraft in World War Two. Marco chose the colour scheme partly because his wife’s name is Liz.
