B.Hales-Dutton - El Al Adapts To Life In The 21st Century /Commercial/
El Al has four dedicated Boeing 747 freighters, though it also uses the holds of its passenger aircraft to carry cargo. This business is important to the carrier, as it provides 40% of its income.
An expected upsurge in the Israeli travel market led El Al to order two more Boeing 777-258(ER)s in December 2005, adding to the four it already operated.
Nine Boeing 767s serve with El Al. These aircraft were the first in the fleet to receive a new business class cabins.

El Al owns eight Boeing 757s. Two are leased to Sun D'Or International Airlines, which it owns. A further pair are with Israir.
Israel's flag-carrier uses both Boeing 777s and 747s for its long-haul services. Pictured is one of four 747-458S currently in the fleet.
El Al is viewed as the world's most secure airline, partly because of the rigorous measures taken to screen passengers before they board any of its aircraft, such as this Boeing 737-758.
Israel's flag-carrier operates an all-Boeing fleet, which includes six Boeing 737 800s.
