    ROY NEROU’S 24ft-span Chilton D.W.1, G-AESZ, was photographed on Friday August 13, 1999 in front of the 1800 Adam-style house Chilton Park at Chilton Foliat in Berkshire. Designed by former de Havilland Technical School students A. Reginald Ward and the Hon Andrew H. Dalrymple, G-AESZ, the prototype Chilton, was built in a coach-house at the back of this house during 1936-37. Powered by a watercooled 32 h.p. Carden-Ford engine, ’SZ was first flown on April 16, 1937, by Ranald Porteous, another former Technical School student.
