Without weight of engines etc, the Mosquito stands taller than normal. The engine nacelle covers are behind the starboard wheel, and the tailplane beneath the fuselage.

An interior view from the rear of the bomb bay, looking aft. Surplus wiring hangs to the right. For Spartan survey operations the rear cameras and operator's seat were at this aft end of the bomb bay. Opposite the entry hatch (left) was a viewing porthole, since filled in. Interior height here is under 4ft, width less; it was no place for a claustrophobic. And at 30,000ft+, unpressurised, the operator would be dead in minutes if his oxygen failed so, out of sight of the pilot, he had to talk every two minutes, - failing which there was a crash dive to a safer altitude.

The pilot's seat is currently home to a plastic box full of small spares. Note armour plate backing with, on pilot's left, the armrest and seat height-adjusting lever.
