The Fighter Collection's Vought F4U Corsair will be participating in Duxford's first airshow of the year on May 6, 2001, along with an assortment of crowd-pleasers, including the Bristol Fighter, Gladiator, various Spitfires and Hurricanes and a display by a Panavia Tornado F.3.

Peter Kench submits a 1950 newspaper cutting showing aircraft in "RAF" formation, taken from a recently-developed film belonging to a photographer who had died in an accident. The aircraft were 37 Harvards led by Gp Capt G.D Stephenson CBE, Commandant of the Central Flying School in the first post-war RAF Display, held at Farnborough in early July 1950. The noise was certainly something to remember!
