S.A.B.E.N.A.'s LATEST: The Savoia-Marchetti S.73 being demonstrated near Croydon. At the time when this picture was taken by a Flight photographer the machine was carrying most of this country's aviation correspondents!
SABENA's first Italian-built Savoia S.73 OO-AGL which is said to have been I-SIAI originally (confirmation required!). It is seen here on an early flight in the vicinity of Croydon on 2.4.35 in a cream and brown colour scheme.

C/n 2075 as OO-AEL in Belgium in 1930. The Gipsy Major is identifiable by its forward carburetter intake and other features are the leading edge automatic slots and the navigation lights, both optional features on new aircraft.
Like many other civil aircraft this Puss Moth OO-AEL was abandoned, destroyed or taken during the German occupation of Belgium from May 1940.
