    Interflug Il-62 DM-SEC at Berlin-Schonefeld in March 1974. The long-range airliner (four 23,150lb st Kuznetsov NK-8-4 turbofans) entered service with Interflug in 1970 and in high-density layout could seat up to 186 passengers six abreast. Here, a wheeled support strut can be seen below the rear fuselage.

    Il-62M DDR-SEL on one of its last services for Interflug lifts off from Schiphol on 18.8.89. The Il-62M version had increased range and capacity and was fitted with four 23,350 lb st Soloviev D-30KU turbofans.
