Регистрационный номер: G-ABAZ A little more detail has come our way concerning the Shanklin Flying Services information and photos published last time. Jack Meaden tells us that the Spartan Three Seater G-ABAZ spent most of its nine years with Sandown & Shanklin Flying Services in a red and white colour scheme with the name "Island Queen" around a crest on the right side of the nose behind the cowling. It certainly appeared in these colours in the King's Cup Race of 1930 with the racing number 25 on the rudder piloted by J F X McKenna. The photo shows it in red and white and if this was presumably the first scheme then the photos we published earlier could not be from about 1931. Clarification please!
