Peter Green has sent in the photo taken at West Raynham in 1949. The occasion was the Central Fighter Establishment Tactical Convention. Various types can be seen, including the Meteor NF.11, Meteor F.4, Vampire F.3, Vampire FB.5, Vampire NF.10 and, in the background, some F-80s. John Kendrick has written in to say it was the June 1950 meeting that was shown.

This postcard has appeared from an unknown source. It shows Marechal des Logis de Beausire de Seyssel leaving for a reconnaissance from Toussus in 1914 in a Farman MF7, possibly during the Battle of the Marne. Toussus was not as out-of-range as might be thought but it is intriguing to see military operations at this mecca of the aviation photographer in the 1950s.
