To help add extra capacity to congested hubs such as London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Frankfurt, Thai has ordered six A380s that will enter service between 2010 and 2011.
Pictured is one of Thai’s four A340-500s that is used on ultra-long range services from Bangkok to New York and Los Angeles. The flight to the 'Big Apple' takes approximately 17 hours.
Thai Airways International has operated international services from its earliest days. Among its long-haul fleet are six Boeing 777-200ERs.
Thai would ideally like to replace its 17 A300s (pictured) with Boeing 787s, however in the meantime, due to the difficulty in getting early delivery slots, it has opted for some A330s.

At the smaller end of the jet spectrum, Thai flies seven Boeing 737-400s. The airline expects to sign a contract with Airbus in the next two months for 20 A321s.
Thailand's flag-carrier has utilised Boeing 747s for long-haul routes since 1979. It currently flies the 747-400 variant, with 18 examples in the fleet.
