The scant remains of D.H.88 Comet racer G-ACSP Black Magic at Staverton on April 12, 1988. Owner Nick Hemming plans to rebuild the aircraft, and has been given CAA permission to retain its historic identity. He does not have much aeroplane to get started on - take away the non-original engines and the mostly-replaced fuselage structure and you are left with even less - but it is often easier to build from scratch than to have to restore surviving components.
