Регистрационный номер: ZK-AEK Now registered ZK-AEK, the Fox Moth is seen among the ice pinnacles and crevices of the Franz Josef Glacier in October 1943. Two separate salvage operations brought the remains down the glacier. A complete new fuselage structure was made up, using jigs specially constructed for just the one job, and the entire rebuild cost no more than a new aeroplane. The work was completed at the de Havilland works at Rongotai, Wellington.
