The Yugoslav Air Force acquired several Bf 109s from nearby countries or by capturing them from the enemy. The G-2 on show was obtained from Bulgaria after the Second World War.

In the 1960s 15 Mil Mi-2 helicopters were bought from the Soviet Union. This one flew on first-aid duties with the Yugoslav Motoring Organisation.

The USA supplied 150 Republic P-47D Thunderbolts to Yugoslavia in the early 1950s, and they were flown for about ten years.

JAT acquired two Short Sealand amphibians in 1952 and both were later used by the air force. The survivor has recently been restored for static display.

More than 200 examples of the Fizir trainer were built. Two have survived, this one having a 120 h.p. Walter radial engine.
