New to the Australian vintage flying scene is the Royal Australian Navy Museum's Fairey Firefly, which first flew at Nowra, NSW on October 4, 1986.
The 1911 Queen Bleriot replica is the result of a six-year project by the New York-based Long Island Early Fliers Club. Built to commemorate the first American aerial mail flight, made 75yr ago by Earle L. Ovington on September 23, 1911, the Bleriot is now on display in the Cradle of Aviation Museum on Long Island.
