North Wales-based Anthony Hodgson's Beech C-45 Expediter Southern Comfort in formation with North American Harvard III G-JUDI. Both aircraft have made regular appearances on the display circuit in recent years, singly and as a duo, although the Beech was up for sale at time of press.

P. Ham asks for details of the crash of Fokker F.VIIB/3M G-AADZ Maryland Free State. Flown London-Tokyo by Van Lear Black from February 9, to April 7, 1930, it obviously survived to be sold abroad in December that year as CH-165, later going to Ala Littoria in August 1935 as I-UEBL

Roger Marson sends photographs taken in January 1996 of the Coronado at NAS Pensacola, but showing it with four-bladed propellers on the inner engines. It seems likely that this is the most recent picture, but why have the props been changed?

Passengers on this O/10 airliner, used by Handley Page Transport Ltd c 1921, could hardly fail to read the 4ft-high registration letters G-EATK as they hoarded for the Continent. Reggie spotting in those days was a piece of cake - see inset of same aircraft.
