Aviation Traders Carvair G-AOFW preserved on static display outside the British Air Ferries hangar at Southend Airport in the early 1980s when it was the last surviving Carvair in England before being scrapped in 1983.

This excellent photograph of three Vought OS2U-1 Kingfishers arrived just a little too late from Northrop Grumman for inclusion in Jerry Scutts’ article Vought Kingfisher, published in January, p50. These aircraft were allocated to Observation Squadron Three (VO-3) aboard the USS Mississippi of Battleship Division Three. Although it may not be clear from this reproduction, the aircraft carry a Disney-like emblem, ‘Oswald the Lucky Rabbit’ riding a 16in shell, between the cockpits.

Northrop F-5F 840456/’NJ-30’ of VFA-127 in an anniversary scheme commemorating 20 years of adversary support and 35 years since the formation of VFA-127 (although strictly speaking VFA-127 was established on June 15,1962; the unit operated as VA-126 Det Alpha from July 24, 1961, to June 15, 1962). It is seen here at its home base of NAS Fallon, Nevada, in the static park during the base’s open house on October 14, 1995.
