Air Canada is another airline which has begun applying special colour schemes to its aircraft recently - A320-211 C-FDSN is seen here at Toronto on December 4, 1995 when it was rolled-out in ‘Toronto Raptors’ colours. The Raptors are a new National Basketball Association franchise and Air Canada, as the team’s official carrier, decided to paint one of its aircraft appropriately - when not in use on Raptors’ charters it will operate regular schedules.

Seen temporarily wearing UK registration G-BWGW for test flying is the first Jetstream 41 for the Royal Thai Army. One of two ordered, it was recently delivered and accepted in Bangkok on December 7, 1995. With a two class cabin, it is fitted with 29 seats plus four VIP seats. The type was chosen by Thailand because it was one of the most economical and ‘politically acceptable’ (ie, not expensive to buy and operate) military transports available.

The first indigenously-built aircraft in Malaysia, SME MD3-160 Aerotiga M42-01, which is the first of 20 for the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM), seen at LIMA ’95 where the first two examples were officially handed-over to the TUDM on December 7, 1995. This first aircraft made its maiden flight on May 25, 1995, some 12 months later than planned, and is one of four now completed. The TUDM will use the type for primary training with 1 Flying Training Centre at Alor Setar.
