Pucara A-515 was flown during the war by Grupo 3 de Ataque. Having suffered only minor damage, it was subsequently shipped to the UK for flight evaluation by the A&AEE Boscombe Down on August 1 and allocated serial ZD485. On September 9, 1983, after extensive testing, it was flown to Cosford Aerospace Museum for preservation.

During the Falklands War, the recently activated Grupo 4 de Ataque, based at Comodoro Rivadavia, performed countless coastal surveillance missions, trying to detect infiltrations by British special forces teams. Pucara A-538 is seen during one such mission, note uncamouflaged fin.

Three IA-58A Pucaras (from front to rear A-514, -515 and -518) in flight near Reconquista shortly before the Falklands War. Neither A-514 and -515 would return to the mainland; A-514 was badly damaged and -515 found a new home in the UK.
