Hurricane V7308 has a mishap on the long ferry route across Africa. Note the white-painted panels to improve visibility in the event of a forced landing en route.

From John Sigourney comes this photograph of Lancaster PD336, WP-P of No. 90 Squadron and proves the accident details in The Lancaster File to be in error. After colliding with HK610 on 2 February 1945 near Bury St. Edmunds, PD336 did not crash but landed at Tuddenham with one fin and rudder missing where it was found to be beyond repair.

Dave Vincent has turned up Sopwith Pup C284. The pilot is believed to have been Frank Briggs, an Australian serving with the RFC and the location could be Orfordness. The insignia is interesting and "A" and "B" can be discerned with possibly an "H". One of the men at the nose appears to be wearing a US Army hat. This Pup was built by the Standard Motor Company.

A D.H. 10 Amiens twin-engined bomber that was just coming into service at the time of the Armistice. It appears to be refuelling from the inevitable two-gallon cans but the location is not know.
