Gulf Aviation (later Gulf Air) began with an Anson in 1950, graduating to Doves, Herons and DC-3s by the 1960s. Two years ago Air Atlantique flew an Anson and a Dove from the UK to Bahrain to mark the airline’s 50th anniversary.
