Messerschmitt Bf 109E Werknr 1184 “Yellow 10” of 9/JG26 was brought down near Margate, Kent, on August 31, 1940. The pilot was Oblt Franhofer.
Item 55, Bf 109E-4 W/n 1184 crashlanded in a field at Alcombe on Saturday 21 August after being attacked by a Hurricane of No.85 Squadron flown by P/O H.T.Hodgson, who was presumably getting his own back for having been shot down himself earlier that day.
