  • The plenum-chamber-burning Harrier test rig, an ex-squadron aircraft adapted for the trials (the fuselage is 4ft longer to accommodate the engine), recovered from Shoeburyness. The aircraft “flew” under external control while tethered.

    The centre-section and inner wing structure from Bristol Britannia 308 G-ANCF, a long-bodied version of the “Brit” initially delivered to Argentina, then to British Eagle. This aircraft was retrospectively fitted with a cargo door for the Woomera run. Filton apprentices are working on the fin and rudder, the rest of the aircraft residing in the hangar.
