    Lockheed 10B c/n 1109 of Ansett made a forced landing on 16.5.46 at Virginia 20 miles from Adelaide in heavy rain and poor visibility. Ten passengers and crew escaped with minor injuries.

    Armstrong Whitworth Atalanta G-ABTJ "Artemis" which stalled in from a night take off on 10-11.2.36 at Pietersberg, South Africa. It was repaired and was later impressed in India as DG452.

    Short Kent G-ABFA "Scipio" c/n S.758 of Imperial Airways at Corfu in 1931 soon after entering service. Its accident at Mirabella Bay on 22.8.36 is detailed below. Three of the type were built specifically to be capable of flying the Mirabella - Alexandria stage of the Mediterranean route non-stop, replacing the earlier Calcuttas.
    22.8.36 "Scipio" was Short Kent G-ABFA c/n S.758, Capt A.S.Wilcockson. A heavy landing was made in bad weather conditions at Mirabella, Crete, in a cross wind and the flying boat sank with the loss of two passengers. Four crew and five passengers escaped.
