After withdrawal from Olympic service in 1971, C-47B SX-BAH was sold as N98392 but had not taken up those marks when seen at Athens on 9.3.72.

Cancelled 12.77 but already clearly withdrawn from use by 3.72, SX-BBE had engines, rear control surfaces and all titles removed. The rudder may have been donated to SX-BAL.

ELL.A.S. used the title Hellenic Airlines as shown on C-47A SX-BBC at Corfu (Kerkyra) Airport 25.9.50. The design of the airline's colour scheme is not unlike that of Scottish Aviation's own aircraft.

Junkers Ju 52/3m SX-CDA was operated by A.M.E as SE-AFA for a time. It first operated the Athens - Corfu service on 7.6.49, though the official inauguration was, as shown here, on 23.7.49 with a Swedish pilot, Nordwaeger.

Photograph of Greek gliders, originally published in a local magazine The Scout in November 1957.
The photo is identified as the Focke Wulf Weihe SX-109 which was one of the gliders donated by Yugoslavia, indeed it may have been built there. The location is the gliding site at Tripolis in the centre of the Peloponnese.

Four primary gliders are shown but the reproduction is such that no markings can be seen, if indeed any were carried other than the national colours. We have been unable to discover whether the Roda and Chavka types listed above are primary gliders. If not then we may be looking at the candidates for four of the "missing" glider registrations SX-101 to -105.
