Hawker de Havilland's D.H.А.3 Drover VH-DHM, airborne in late 2000. The last production Drover, 'HM was completed in September 1953 and originally registered VH-AHZ.

VH-DHM in the hangar before the air-to-air sortie for this article. In the background is the sole Drover Mk 3; it is fitted with horizontally-opposed 180 h.p. Lycoming O-360 engines, and features a revised tailplane arrangement with marked dihedral.

An unusual overhead air-to-air view of another airworthy Drover, VH-ADN, based at Bathurst, NSW, and operated by Peter Hanneman and Charlie Camilleri. Spanning 57ft, the Drover can carry up to eight passengers.

Other surviving Drovers include VH-FDR, once operated by the Queensland section of the Royal Flying Doctor Service, seen here partly dismantled and on show at the Queensland Air Museum at Caloundra...
