The wing registration extends past the aileron, which was not usual, however the photo does show the early model 247 with the nose radio mast, standard up to c/n 1690 NC13309.

Het Vliegveld: 11.10.33: Boeing 247 NC13304 c/n 1685 of National Air Transport/the United Air Lines consortium on Newark-Chicago service became the first proven victim of aerial sabotage. Novak flew another Ba 122 OK-AVE c/n 2 (260 hp Walter Castor 7-cyl radial) to win the 1937 Coup Mondial in his category and that aircraft is preserved in the Czech Air Force Museum at Kbely.
