Yevgeny Frolov’s demonstration of the Sukhoi Su-37 with thrust-vectoring nozzles included a complete somersault, a development of the original “cobra” manoeuvre. The canards fitted to this version may be seen in action in the sequence.

The Kamov Ka-50 Black Shark, the only helicopter in the flying programme, gave an impressive demonstration. Its large contra-rotating rotors and retractable undercarriage are features which contrast sharply with those of Western attack helicopters.
