The DHC-2 Beaver is one of three types currently included in the inventory of Nr 300 Squadron which operates from Deelan as a component of the KLu's Light Aircraft Group, its other equipment comprising Piper L-21s and Alouette IIIs.
The F-104G Starfighter is currently the most important aircraft in the KLu inventory. The Tactical Air Command includes two F-104G-equipped strike squadrons. Nrs 311 and 312, in its order of battle, these being equipped for the delivery of either conventional or nuclear weapons. A third F-104G unit, Nr 306, fulfils the Tac-R role, and two others, Nrs 322 and 323, operate as interceptors. Aircraft of Nr 306 Squadron on the flight line at Volkel are seen here.

Current planning envisages the re-equipment of Nrs 322 and 323 squadrons with the new ’semi-advanced’ fighter in 1977 and 1978. followed by Nr 306 Squadron in 1979, and finally Nrs 311 and 312 squadrons in 1980 and 1981. When finally phased out of the KLu first-line combat aircraft inventory, therefore, the F-104G Starfighter will have seen 20 years of Dutch service a longer period than has been achieved by any other warplane in the history of military aviation in the Netherlands.

Based at Deelan (Nrs 299 and 300) and Soesterberg (Nr 298) are the three squadrons forming the Groep Lichte Vliegtuigen, or Light Aircraft Group, maintained by the KLu primarily on behalf of the Army. Two of the squadrons, Nr 298 and Nr 299, are equipped solely with the Alouette III, but Nr 300 Squadron includes Piper L-21s in its inventory, one of these being seen above, accompanied by an Alouette III.
The Alouette III also equips the Soesterberg-based Search-and-Rescue Flight and is equipped with inflatable pontoons for its ASR role. One of this Flight's Alouettes is seen here with the pontoons in process of inflation.

Transport support is provided by Nr 334 Squadron at Soesterberg with F27M Troopships (one of which is illustrated) and F27 Friendships.
Nr 334 Squadron operates F27 Friendships and F27M Troopships from Soesterberg, two of these transports being seen below (F27M in foreground with F27 in background).
The USAF’s 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron operates under joint KLu/17th Air Force control from Soesterberg, and one of this unit's F-4E Phantoms is seen in formation with an NF-5B of Nr 313 Squadron of the KLu.
The last 10 or so Fokker S.11 Instructors to be used by the KLu currently equip the S.11 Introduction Flight at Gilze Rijen which provides potential pupil pilots with 8-12 hours introductory flying before they are sent to Canada.
