A sight that had not been seen for more than 50 years. Three Polikarpov I-153s pursue five Polikarpov I-16s for the formation flypast. Most of these aircraft are for sale, so this sight may never be repeated.

History was made when Keith Skilling in Hawker Hurricane P3351/ZK-TPL joined Ray Hanna in the Spitfire Mk XVI TB863 for an impressive formation display. This combination has never been seen before in the South Pacific region.

Carlson’s other aircraft, the 1919 Tummelisa trainer, is still powered by its original Thulin rotary engine. Twenty-eight were built for the Swedish Air Force.
