A rare shot of Mil-4 9G-OTP hangared at Accra on 15.4.61 and inscribed 'Ghana Government' below the cabin windows. The registration date for the first of two helicopters in these marks is given as 2.7.62 but it was obviously in use earlier.

Ghana Airways leased a variety of aircraft from other airlines. DC-9-51 c/n 47679 N629HA of Hawaiian Airlines was used in 1977 prior to the delivery of 9G-ACM and returned to the USA via Gatwick and Prestwick on 24.4.78, still in basic Hawaiian colour scheme with Ghana titles and flag on the fin/rudder.
